The Fundraising and Advocacy Internship offers UCLA undergraduates an opportunity to learn how universities engage alumni, donors, policy makers, and government entities to garner critical financial and public support. Interns will work in UCLA's Division of External Affairs on substantive assignments in the fields of fundraising, alumni relations, government and community relations, and advancement services. The internship program equips students with the knowledge and skills to pursue careers or involvement in philanthropic organizations following graduation.
UCLA undergraduates at junior or senior level during the internship term. In the summer, interns in this program are expected to make a commitment to work 32 hours per week for the full term of the program, from June 27 – August 18, 2022. Interns receive significant professional training and career counseling that requires the ability to be present at work during regular business hours for the full term.

Summer Internship: Interns will work 32 hours per week, 8 hours per day, Monday – Thursday, under the supervision of External Affairs staff.

Interns will be paid $17/hour.
YEAR-ROUND INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
The Fundraising and Advocacy Internship is now offered both during the summer and during the academic school year. During the academic school year, interns work 12-20 hours per week, Monday – Friday, around their academic schedules.
